The Palm Beach junior ensemble ends the season on a high note – and some barking

When the Party Animal Gala organizers urged guests to dress in tribute to their favorite animal spirit, we struggled to choose.

We have so many beloved animal spirits. Wild turkey. Gray goose. Pink squirrel. Moscow Mule. And our “ most favorite ” dog hairs.

Then we reviewed the invitation and realized that it was “Spirit Animal” and not “Animal Spirit”.

Shit ” lysdexia. ”

Well, “spirit animal” is much easier. According to Native American tradition, our spirit animal is the crow. So we showed up dressed like a bottle of Old Crow. OK, not really.

The second annual Party Animal Gala, hosted by Young Friends of Peggy Adams, took place on April 24 at the Flagler Museum.

Molly Mele and Stacey Leuliette were chair of the black tie party, which has been changed slightly due to COVID-19.

Twisted, but not tame.

All 100 guests arrived in themed outfits, ranging from Big Cat prints to Kristina bryanttulle in flamingo hues.

The evening started with outdoor cocktails and a reception line of ready-to-adopt dogs who were an addition to the Mele family when they fell in love with Maggie, whom they quickly adopted.

After cocktails, the crowd moved to the brightly colored pavilion for dinner at safely spaced tables, a live auction and music by Adam lipson.

Dancing has been banned due to COVID, a side effect of which apparently everyone becomes Amish.

Peggy Adams Executive Director / CEO Rich anderson made brief remarks.

“We really enjoy working with the young generation of philanthropists passionate about animal welfare,” said Anderson.

“The purpose of their Party Animal Gala is to raise funds that will be essential in saving thousands of dogs and cats this year.”
