Nomad today announced a new accessory for Apple’s AirTag, called the Sturdy keyring, which starts shipping in August and costs $ 29.95 for pre-order ($ 39.95 regular). Similar to other keychain accessories, Nomad’s sturdy keychain protects the AirTag in a polycarbonate shell that can be attached to keys, bags and – as Nomad advises – pet collars .

The rugged key fob includes two housing options: an IP67 waterproof back and a speaker hole back. Nomad also includes a optional additional function which allows you to engrave your pet’s name and phone number on a stainless steel insert, transforming the AirTag and Rugged Keychain into a pet ID tag.

Asked about it, Drance said: “If people are doing this, they just need to make sure that their moving pet is within range of a device on the ‘Find My’ network so that its location can be tracked. .

Nomadic already sells some AirTag accessories, including a leather buckle and a leather keychain at $ 19.95 and $ 29.95 respectively. You can also purchase an AirTag eyewear strap on Nomad for $ 29.95, which attaches to any pair of glasses or sunglasses.
